Our Yogurt

Our cows are provided the unconfined bliss of endless year round pasture, long healthy lives free of added growth hormones, and plenty of exercise. We believe in responsible, biological agriculture based on a foundation of healthy and sustainable soil, and our yogurts are 100% all natural, non-homogenized, and minimally processed-- exactly as yogurt was meant to be made and enjoyed!

Grass based dairy has also been shown to have higher levels of conjugated linoleic acids (CLAs) as well as Vitamin A, Beta Carotene and Omega-3s.

Because our yogurts are minimally processed you may notice several major differences in our products than other yogurts available.

Our yogurt is non-homogenized. This means the milk fat is left in its natural state and rises to the top. This is where we get our cream layer from, and if you wish to have a low fat product, you can simply skim the cream off the top.

Here at Dreaming Cow we do not believe we need to hide our natural variation with additives. You may notice seasonal variations in color, texture and taste. These variations highlight the natural cycle of pasture growth and cow lactation, and are reflected in the composition of our milk. Think of it as varying degrees of delicious!

We use no stabilizers. We don't feel we need to add anything (including stabilizers like pectin, xanthan gum, agar & modified starch) to our yogurt to make it better or to produce a consistently identical product every single time - Variation is the spice of life!

Quality of ingredients and clean labeling is extremely important to us. Like the milk, the pure vanilla extract, amber agave nectar and tupelo honey we use are minimally processed and bursting with flavor. We also keep a clean label ( minimum number of ingredients and no additives are used). We do not use flavors, colors, or any other additives. We want you to truly taste the way our ingredients stand on their own to provide a beautifully balanced taste in every cup.

All Natural

Our unsweetened, plain yogurt is likely very different than most yogurt you have ever had. It has an incredibly balanced and fresh taste that begins milky sweet and then leads to a gentle tang which leaves your palate bright and clean. It has a creamy smooth texture and a milky white color which is contrasted brilliantly by the golden cream top layer that rests atop every single cup we make.

Vanilla & Agave

The natural taste of our Southeastern grass based milk allows us to create some amazing flavor combinations and experiences which you will find nowhere else.

Our Vanilla and Agave Nectar Yogurt utilizes the same base as our plain but is infused with organic Amber Agave Nectar, a low glycemic natural sweetener (and also the stuff they make tequila out of when fermented!), and a pure extract of vanilla bean. The end result is a lemon chiffon citrus zest followed by a well balanced and delicate vanilla flavor. The gentle sweetness fades away and leaves you with a lingering citrus aftertaste that is both fresh and clean.

Honey

The Honey Yogurt uses local Georgian Tupelo honey and our cream top base to make a unique honey flavored yogurt. Our honey yogurt starts with a burst of floral honey which quickly yields to a delicate and balanced milky yogurt flavor. This is an ambitious and decadent yogurt which does an excellent job of capturing the natural beauty of tupelo honey and assimilating it into a yogurt blend.
